Alabamians who live in a rental property in one of the counties serviced by the Alabama Rural Coalition for the Homeless (ARCH) are eligible for a streamlined process to receive rent and/or utility assistance from Emergency Rental Assistance Alabama. ERA Alabama created a partnership with ARCH that allows for reduced and streamlined documentation and eligibility requirements that provide assistance more quickly.
The following counties are served by ARCH: Barbour, Bibb, Blount, Butler, Chambers, Chilton, Choctaw, Clarke, Clay, Cleburne, Coffee, Conecuh, Coosa, Covington, Crenshaw, Cullman, Dale, Dallas, Escambia, Fayette, Geneva, Greene, Hale, Henry, Houston, Jackson, Lamar, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Marshall, Monroe, Perry, Pickens, Pike, Randolph, Sumter, Talladega, Tallapoosa, Walker, Washington, and Wilcox.
